Have your building’s fire pump completely inspected to ensure your safety.

Fire pumps are used to provide the required water flow to fire sprinkler systems or fire cabinets. It is necessary to ensure that the fire pumps are operational and it is the owner’s responsibility to have them inspected by a technician in compliance with NFPA 20 Standards.

ROLLING TEST (WITHOUT FLOW)
  • Visual inspection of the fire pump and its components
  • Pressure maintenance pump start-up and shutoff pressure verification
  • Fire pump start-up and residual pressure verification
  • Pressure release valve verification
FLOW/PERFORMANCE TEST (WITH FLOW)
  • Visual inspection of the fire pump and its components
  • Pressure maintenance pump start-up and shutoff pressure verification
  • Fire pump start-up and residual pressure verification
  • Calculation of the pump’s number of revolutions per minute (RPM)
  • Calculation of the number of gallons per minute (GPM) during flow
  • Pump test at 50%, 100% and 150% according to the manufacturer’s requests
  • Verification of the control panel’s amperage and voltage
  • Supervisory valve and alarm verification at start-up
  • Pressure release valve verification
  • Automatic air vent verification
  • Pressure gauge inspection
  • List of deficiencies and recommendations, if applicable
